Sledding in NC

As we drove by a sports store Monday afternoon, Madi saw the window filled with sleds and asked if I would buy her one. I explained that an inch or two of snow was NOT enough snow for sledding. We wouldn't be able to use that sled. Well guess what! We had plenty of snow and poor Madi was sledding like a penguin all day Tuesday. By the time Wednesday arrived, we realized that maybe a boogie board would work. Did it ever! All the other kids were jealous of her then and wanted that boogie board. So this is how we sled in North Carolina!

  1. Madi looks like she is having so much fun. We are tiring of the snow here in Washington. It snowed again Sunday and more is expected Tuesday after we had 10 straight days of freezing fog.
    Thanks for sharing pictures.

  3. We searched for a sled for Logan for hours one day. The first store we went to had a couple, but they weren't the kind we wanted and we didn't realize at the time that every other store was sold out (and by the time we realized that and went back that store was all out also). After driving to 5 different stores, I finally got on the phone and called many more. I finally got a hold of someone at Costco who said they were getting 40 in the next morning. We were there first thing. I wouldn't have gone through so much trouble, but Logan really, really, really wanted to go sledding. How can you say no to that? :)

It looks like Madi had a blast with her boogie board!
