Back to the Projects

Lately while Gracie naps, I've been trying to sneak in a project or two.  Actually to be more accurate, at least part of a project ;)  I'll take what I can get.  I'm digging this vinyl!  What else can I put it on?  Seriously!  Tony bought me a gigantic roll from a sign place.  What else can I do with it?

Saturday while she slept, I snagged the baby monitor and headed out to the garage for a pen making lesson.  I was curious about it since Tony and Madi are so addicted.  It is absolutely mesmerizing to watch ribbons of wood come off that little block as you gently scrape away!  I think I'm hooked.  I ended up making three that day.  I kept this one for myself :)

Then I saw a lady's blog with zillions of project plans.  Simple construction of all kinds of fun things to build.  I am so excited to make sure Tony's tools don't end up under a pile of dust ;)  She makes it sound so easy.  After Tony looked at it, he said, "Well she just nails stuff together.  You want to do pocket holes instead!"  Oh man.  Why did he have to go and make it sound scary?!  I'm all over the nail gun, but a pocket hole jig?  I'm not so sure.

  1. You've been busy. Oh, and I love that site. You need to get to work and then show me how.

  2. If I can get Tony in the garage for just a couple hours a week with me, I think I can catch on. You'll have to come over and we'll have our own little factory. Wouldn't that be so fun?!
