It's so bittersweet to watch Gracie grow so quickly. She does fun, new things every day. We sure miss the phases she's past (well some of them ;). The new is always fun too. Tony and Gracie both passed out after a long day in the middle of a bottle earlier this week.
Aren't sleeping babies the cutest?! Especially this one. She thinks she's still sucking on that bottle.
Believe it or not, Gracie really does enjoy her bath time. She's rather serious for a baby though. Before I started snapping pictures, she had her arms out to the side - just letting them float. She was still just as serious though. The flash put her on guard and she gave up on the floating. I felt terrible watching her relax knowing that as soon as she was dressed, I'd have to tuck her into the car to get to her doctor's appointment for shots.
Despite the shots, we had a good visit at the pediatrician's office. Even though she still struggles with her reflux, she is a thriving baby weighing in at 17lb 2 oz. What?! Even though we still have a bad day occasionally, Gracie's reflux is improving. I was told today we should see a HUGE difference by the time she's 9 months old. She has a plugged tear duct that we hope will clear up on it's own by 9 months. Other than that, she's on track. Not sitting up yet, but we need to work on it more. She has no problem grabbing whatever she wants quick. She loves eating real food, so we'll keep introducing more and more to her. Something we weren't able to do with Madi at this age. It's even time to start trying to drink from cups. Our doctor said she anticipates the most difficult thing we'll face with Gracie is learning how to do her hair. I can't wait until we can get it in cute little puffs, twists and braids! What happened to the little baby we brought home from the hospital who curled up in a ball on our shoulder? She's grown into a cute, roly poly, fun and sweet baby! We couldn't ask for more.
